Even most hardcore Lego enthusiasts don’t need a machine that can automatically sort axle pieces by length. But that probably means that Akiyuki is on a whole other level compared to most Lego maniacs, particularly since this entire complicated contraption runs on just a single drive motor. Say wha? I always amazed that these Lego machines don’t seem to need lubrication at all.
Some plastics are described as self lubricating. Nylon is a classical example. May be Lego pieces have similar properties?
i would imagine the motors burn out pretty quickly, due to the friction, but lego we we know is manufactured to very high tolerances so that’s probably why these machines work so well for so long
