Though most of us find Spider-Man to be infinitely more relatable than other comic book heroes, the truth is if Spider-Man was actually scientifically accurate, it’d be a much different story. He’d be totally gross because, well, spiders are totally gross. They’re hairy; they’re freakish looking and their dicks fall off.
Comic books need to be more scientifically accurate if only for the ridiculous laughs! The animation was made by Animation Domination High Def. [ADHD via Laughing Squid]

Who do you mean by “most of us”? People in General? Giz readers? Giz writers? Americans?
Personally I find him just as relatable as any other fictional or real nutjob who runs around in spandex, don’t know about anyone else.
I think he is saying that because Peter Parker is a normal nerdy bloke that got his powers accidentally.
Which is defiantly easier to relate to than an Alien, a rock star like Engineer or orphaned millionaire.
I agree with Somebody Else (there’s a weird sentence!)
What’s with all the grammar police on gizmodo all of a sudden?
Can you imagine if The Grammar Police really existed…..that would be excellent!
I can relate to them. Even though they don’t exist.
People like to be dicks, and assert their authority on the internet to complete strangers. I know. I’m tired of them too…almost as much as I am tired of my writers making the odd typo.
I don’t think it’s too much to expect that people who write for a living to proof read for mistakes and don’t fuck it up so much when writing only 5 sentences. On the whole it doesn’t bother me though.
Shall I come stand behind you for a day, and ensure you don’t make any errors?
I wouldn’t, I make a lot
. That’s usually for IM’s though which I tend to just send and maybe correct mistakes after. Otherwise I do check for mistakes on most things. If I wrote professionally I’d expect to uphold standards in my writing. It only bugs me if there’s a pattern. It hasn’t bugged me on this site though, just saying what it’s probably like from the perspective of others (:
I’m clearly the only person who thinks of spiders as “fluffy” amn’t I?
Nah, I like to look at spiders through rose-tinted glasses, too
Thats 1:34min I wont get back :/
Wut.
