Adobe is currently receiving flack for selling software at inflated prices in Australia, where Creative Suite costs around £1,000 more than in the UK. In this interview, Adobe’s CEO Shantanu Narayen completely refuses to explain why. Politicians could learn something from this guy; he’s more slippery than a fish coated in Crisco. Cheeky bastard!
Cheeky more like pure evil !!!!
I’ve been polite
Creative Cloud. Creative Cloud Creative Cloud. Student; Creative Suite pricing? Creative Cloud Creative Cloud Creative Cloud.
Someone recently had an argument with me about how the low-end employees are to blame for companies. This guy is a manager – he should be fired, immediately, surely?
Oop, CEO, ignore me.
What in God’s name is Crisco?
Cooking fat I think.
It’s American for various cooking fat products. See?
Thanks for that…I didn’t realise I needed to use a Search Engine or have an intricate understanding of the culinary delights found in American supermarkets to understand content on a UK site.
It looks to be a ‘shortening’…A solid vegetable fat. I suppose a fish coated in that would be quite slippery.
Point taken. I would rather be saved the hassle of translating the Americanisms as well.
Why do people pirate software again?
Because the Creative Cloud is much more value than the value of your life although the Creative Cloud is amazingly good value, which may have something to do with the Creative Cloud.
Well I don’t blame him since the Creative Cloud is actually a better value product to spend on than the Creative Cloud which is generally being preffered over the Creative Cloud but what really matters is the Creative Cloud and I don’t think that can be change simply without the Creative Cloud.
Australia, it’s called ‘BitTorrent’. Use that until Adobe gets its shit together.
Same pricing happens in NZ except we have a shitty three strikes copyright law.. No more Torrents for me =(
like asking kat about the edit button
Isn’t it about time our politicians started looking after us and investigating unfair pricing like the Australian government is, Its all very well and good arguing free markets, supply and demand and all that, but its not exactly a free market when you have a monopoly like Adobe does over creative professionals, the c*** !!!!
“It’ll all about Creative Cloud” sounds better than “I can’t say”. I’ll remember to use it hereafter
Wow. £1,000 more than the UK price?
They are REALLY getting screwed over!!!
And they Corps bitch about piracy…
I’d buy photoshop if it was a realistic price….
And I’m sure the Aussies would!!!!!!
Oh wait…
