Apple started pushing out iOS 6.1.1 for the iPhone 4S this afternoon. You can download it here.
Apparently the over-the-air update fixes some issues with 3G coverage in Europe. We haven’t seen it pop up on the iPhone 5 or any other devices yet. However, since it seems to address a wireless connectivity issue, it’s possible it’s only for the 4S. We’ll update when we know more. [TheNextWeb]

Rumour: iPad 3 Will Be the First iOS Device with 1GB of RAM
It’s just for the 4s.
The last update caused an issue with cellular connectivity.
Vodafone were advising not to upgrade last week.
Still on 5.1.1 yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Surely it would of made more sense to use an iPhone 4S picture or a standard iOS one instead of a picture of the iPhone 5?
This story has been blowing up for months now. For those who haven’t heard, iPhone 4S’s have had a problem with the wifi option becoming ‘greyed out’ and wifi being unusable. There are 190page+ threads on Apples own website about it.
Apple were aware of the problem and made an entry on their support page telling people to restore their iphones, which did absolutely nothing.
The community on the iphone forums had 3 solutions for the problem and their wierdness is really worth a story in itself:
1. put the iphone in the freezer for 20 mins.
2. apply a hairdryer to the wifi card until hot.
3. plug the iphone 4S in and leave a torch app on until the handset overheats.
Do those solutions sound insane? I thought so. I had an iPhone 4S and the wifi just stopped working one day. I was on the verge of giving Apple $199 to replace the handset when I used solution 3 to fix the unit. Seriously.
I just wonder how many people have paid Apple for a new handset, which this update would have fixed?
