Oh, Iran. Your Qaher 313 stealth fighter jet sure looks intimidating but it will never get off the ground. So why do you insist on tricking everybody into thinking that the beast can fly? Iran’s latest transgression is especially hilarious: they’ve photoshopped the Qaher 313 onto a stock image of Mount Damavand to make it look like its flying.
Seriously, the stock image that Iran used of magestic Mount Damavand can be found at PickyWallpapers.com. If you brighten up the picture a little bit, it’s the SAME EXACT THING. Iran floated the picture with the Qaher 313 superimposed on the mountain to “prove” that the fighter jet could fly. Check out the picture of the mountain without the jet and with the jet:

Iran, you make it too easy. This isn’t the first time Iran has been guilty of photoshopping pictures to make themselves look more intimidating either. They added more missiles in a missile test picture back in 2008. Keep up the good work! We love it. [Harfhaye Nagofte Elham via The Atlantic Wire]

Is Gizmodo secretly playing drinking games? … I think so.
hilarious, hilarious, hilarious, hilarious, hilarious, hilarious, hilarious, hilarious, hilarious….
Have a great morning team!
They didn’t forget about changing the tint of the fountain through the cockpit…I guess it wasn’t all that bad apart from the huge noticable reflection which is clearly reflected from a lightbulb in a room..
Such a lame effort. Even the Green and Blue reflections on the tail are from the lights in the room in the video.

Please see my response below.
They really should had claimed that they reached moon with that gobshyte and did couple of moonwalks
At least they’ve learned about plane proportions: this one’s a lot bigger than the previous mock-up.
Just need to clarify something. I can read farsi (born in Iran). Apparently the caption under the photo in the original website clearly states that this is a “graphic depiction” of the plane in action i.e just an artistic impression.
Therefore they never actually claimed the photo was real. Hope that helps.
Does it mean they need couple more decades to actually build one of the stealthy ones?
Iran clearly trying out that free Photoshop download, not bad for a first try guys, not bad… I give it a B+
Sorry C- from me, even my 10 years old nephew could do a better job.
I’m pretty sure many people laughed at the chance of N.Korea developing functional nuclear weapons, and oh, look, they’ve got viable nuclear weapons now. If a regime has the desire then these things can become reality, sure, this looks like a mock up, but the west has been making good planes for years… so how far behind do you think these countries are? The perfectly excellent F16 (ok, non-stealth) has been around since the 70′s, shall we make a random guess and say Iran is 30 years behind the west… perhaps scrub the stealth claim and this plane is a perfectly reasonable outcome if Iran is going to spend all it’s money on the military rather than on it’s people.
I’m not about to laugh at them, in just the same way that I’m not laughing at the risk posed by N.Korea now they have the bomb.
So what you’re saying that Iran, Russians and N Koreans gonna team up? They have no chance
No, I’m pretty certain I didn’t say anything like that. But do keep up the educated comments though, sterling effort.
You sure? I mean you really really sure? It’s I-ran at stake here!!
I remember when Gizmodo was a tech website and not some anti Iranian / North Korean propaganda site.
Well anyway, Chan you douche, have you never seen a rendering or photoshopped image from Airbus, Boeing, McDonnell Douglas or NASA? Of course you would have, they release them all the time, especially then the plane is in the design stages.
There are many planes and spacecraft visualised by American companies / agencies that never make it to production.
So could you please stop writing such ill informed articles about the exploits of countries you have been brainwashed into disliking. You should also note while Iran may not be as advanced as America, a lot of America’s initial advancements were built by Nazi scientists using Nazi technology.
Im sure your military is 100% open and honest and has never knowingly censored or made up information.
Some say the Nazi built the first Spaceship and flew to Moon? Is it true?
