Last night the Americans had this thing called the “Super Bowl” going on. Apparently it’s some sort of rugby-type sport, not a giant bowl of noodles. Anyway, here are the trailers for both Iron Man 3 and Star Trek Into Darkness which aired last night — without any sport involved.
The Iron Man 3 trailer (above) mixes a reasonable amount of previously seen footage with some new — the highlight being a scene where Stark plucks falling passengers out of the sky following some sort of aeroplane disaster. It still looks amazing.
Elsewhere, the Star Trek trailer (below) gives absolutely nothing away, but is dramatic and full of Benedict Cumberbatch. So… what’s not to love? Kick back for a couple of minutes and whet your appetite for films to come.

Looks Like That Really Is the Enterprise Crashing in Star Trek Into Darkness
Oh Yes, Bones Is Still Awesome in Star Trek Into Darkness
This Is the Badass Dark Enterprise Kirk Battles In Star Trek Into Darkness
Said aeroplane disaster looks to be Air Force One…
At $3.8m per 30s slot, I hope they didn’t pay for 30 seconds of Robert Downey Jr. staring into the camera.
AMG!!!! (Ach, Mein Gott!)
Cumberbatch looks dreamy… wait, what?
Super bowl? That’s much less gross than the super bowel I thought they were on about.
And that’s how you troll the world extensively.
Cumberbatch is, as we all know, is playing Assange in the film about Julian Assange and also he is now rumoured to play Alan Turing! After playing Stephan Hawking – I welcome this!
