BlackBerry’s Super Bowl ad from last night was… uh… interesting as you can see above. The company claimed that in 30 seconds, it was easier to show us what BB10 couldn’t do — which is perhaps some of the laziest marketing ever.
But the real question is, is this the dumbest tech advert you’ve ever seen? And, if not, what was? Post your thoughts in the comments, and let’s celebrate how incredibly awful advertising agencies can be!

Negative advertising is always a bad idea.
I like this one though: http://goo.gl/uosuW

Any one seen Stallone’s new movie called bullet to the head yet? It seemed like a long advert for Blackberry! Awful.
I saw it. It’s just a Stallone movie, with added Blackberries.
What an awful, awful advert.
Even after all of the Giz posts and reading/viewing i’ve done this last week, I am STILL none the wiser as to what the fuck it CAN do? Or atleast what makes it any better than anything else on the market?
All this advert shows is that it doesn’t have anything WORTH advertising, so they made some ‘fun and wacky’ stuff up… and even then it was crap.
It did seem like an odd advert, especially given the Z10 is not out until March.
I have a Z10 and there is enough in the phone to build an advert around.
They would have been better with a teaser campaign, something like this fan made one http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=dY1ecfWT3GQ
Yep, now that advert actually sells the product and tells you something about why you should trust the company and the technology. But nope, they’ve gone with fire, exploding people and trucks that turns into rubber duckies. Oh dear…
Problem is, this fan advert just makes it sound (to non-geeks) like BlackBerry’s made an iPhone. A lot of my non-techy friends are asking me about the Microsoft Surface because they’ve seen the “cool” advert. I quite like this new BlackBerry advert, it could be better, but BlackBerry have a new market to win over and their adverts must be fun and exciting or teenagers will not be interested.
Poor attempt by Blackberry, if RIM want to survive they better try harder than that. BB10 may be their last chance, they need to get it right.
I like the ad.
Wow! Blackberry have made a phone that does nearly as much as other phones have been doing for four years!?
If you think that, then you haven’t seen many ads.
It’s still smarter than apples ´thumb sized’ advert, Or anything by Windows.
