Here’s something that’ll brighten you up just in time for the end of the week: Calvin and Hobbes being spliced into real life photographs. I don’t know how many times I wished these guys existed in real life when I was young. Hell, I think I still do.
This project, made by photographer Michael S. Den Beste, blends Calvin and Hobbes characters into photographs that match the world in the comics. It’s so damn fun. I’d totally re-read all the comics if it was set in real life again. Just check out some of his work below:

I’m having serious deja-vu, sure I saw this somewhere weeks or months ago…why do I never deja-vu lottery numbers?
Off topic… but MAN your avatar freaks me out everytime I see it.
I know, I saw it, it freaked me out and I had to have it!
Best. Find. Ever.
I grew up on these guys. I absolutely loved every second of reading them, and no doubt still would. Infact, fuck it. I’m going to dig some out.
p.s These photographs are an asbolutely beautiful tribute. I hope Bill Waterson has seen them.
They’re great, aren’t they? Love that snowman one.
I rarely bother with desktop graphics and the like… but for these i’ve made an exception.
I’m not a huge fan of Calvin & Hobbes but these are lovely
Wonderful. I think these are my new desktop wallpapers.
I designed an invite to a child’s birthday party for someone at work. They’re going tobogganing to a local ski slope so I designed it around a picture of Calvin and Hobbes tobogganing down a hill.
No one at work knew what it was, even when I showed them the picture. I was horrified.
My screensaver is C&H I’ll bet i’m missing some great tv shows, this is a perfect friday article
