You were glad to see the back of chemistry in school because it’s so dull, right? Wrong! Chemistry is amazing, and it helps explain what all the stuff around us is and where it comes from.
This video is part of a new series by Crash Course, which will explain why chemistry is so important. This first one explains how the fundamental building blocks of chemistry — the proton, neutron and electron — can be arranged together to make everything. Which, when you think about it, is kinda neat. [YouTube]

What the Hell Magnets? Why Are You So Amazing?
All Chemistry Classes Should Be Taught by Adorable Dogs
CrashCourse World History is pretty damn good too.. Filled in a lot of gaps from sleeping thru high school history
I can heartily recommend ChemGuy too, excellent at explaining concepts of GCSE & A-Level or IB level Chemistry.
Dude, Science/Chemistry was the only subject that I really paid attention to in school Physics was ok but to much maths for me.
Have you seen the Periodic table of videos on Youtube by Brady Harran and Martin Poliakoff they have some pretty cool videos aswell.
I have such a mind-hard-on for science, especially physics. Quantum physics really twists your melon. Sadly i lack the motivation to study it beyond it’s sexy bullet points. Maybe i’ll delve into to chemistry a bit more and try and figure out how to synthesise motivation. There must be a happy medium between Cocaine, Speed, and Adderall.
