There seems to be no end to the marvels that quadrocopters can achieve. Now, though, researchers have got ‘em throwing and catching poles like acrobats—and it’s amazing.
Carried out by researchers from Zurich’s Institute for Dynamic Systems and Controls, the mini drones are capable of launching—and then catching!—an inverted pendulum (umm, a pole). Man, I would really struggle to do that, and these drones can do it perfectly. If you want to know more about how it all works Robohub has a great breakdown. Otherwise, just sit in awe like me. is just me , or does anyone else want to work at this place ? this seems a really fun job !

Trust me, being an engineering student, developing the microelectronics code and calculations for those copters aren’t fun. I had to do a simple one for an assembly line timer. I almost committed suicide on mplab.
Please can we have more quadrocopter articles, they are my favourite type of article right now, I genuinely can’t get enough of them.
I’m aware the above comes across as very sarcastic, it’s not.
This is very neat, but a little part of me still keeps thinking are these the forerunners to HK’s?
Thanks for sharing, brilliant.
I LIKE! (with Borat accent ofcourse!)
We are so utterly FU$%ED!
