We’ve all seen some amazing scenes while looking out the window on long flights. Filmmaker Tim Sessler has! And rather than popping another Ambien and dozing off on his flight from San Francisco to Salt Lake City to Philadelphia, he decided to capture some footage and go to town.
Tim created Drift with a 5D Mark III and a delightful mix of image processing—the black and white, the selective focus effect, the extreme aspect ratio. It all makes for an engrossing few minutes from above. Be sure to full-screen that bad boy for the full effect. [Vimeo]

I’d never be able to get shots like that. there’s always a wing in the way. Is it just me or does the wing take up 90% of the side of the aircraft? I always seem to be sat by it
You have to sit up the posh end to avoid that one:) For the best view, Seat 0A shortly followed by seat 0B
Oh, and if you’re in the back, there is usually a small window in the door in the rear galley but depending on the aircraft it can be very very small which might make wide-angle pictures look a bit crap.
Nah, the first part is just close ups of a tiramisu done in black & white.
