News anchors are meant to be some of the most solid broadcasting professionals. They’re on TV every day, and should know the consequences of exposing a little too much of themselves on live TV. That didn’t stop this American anchor’s insistence on telling us about her, errr, vibrating toothbrush. Seriously, keep these things to yourself, OK? [YouTube via Mashable]

‘American’? She’s quite clearly canadian.
Beat me to it :[
Which is quite clearly in North America.

It probably sounded perfectly reasonable to her in her head, it’s just our minds are in the gutter
Well obviously she knew what she was saying, hence the hand gestures being so obvious, and her repeatedly checking the monitor under the camera to see if it looked funny. Blatantly it was a joke/dare/bet, and points to her for seeing it through with a straight face.
Sam stop being a miserable git, clearly we need more of this humour! I thought it was hilarious
quite clearly these idiots would say something like this and get it mentioned globally on blogs drawing attention for free to themselves. darn, those pesky marketing departments
MR Gibbs’ thought process:
1: Dumb thing to say;
2: Americans are said to be dumb so they must be;
3: It must be an dumb American news anchor who said the thing dumbly.
My work here is done… I’m not American.
