The Samsung Galaxy S IV is going to be announced in nine days and we’re pretty excited for it even if we don’t know what it’s going to look like. We might now, though. A few leaked images of what’s supposed to be the Galaxy S IV have come out and if they’re real, the phone looks pretty good. And it won’t have a home button?
As awesome as the Galaxy S III was, it always felt a little bit chintzy because of its round plastic body. The S IV, in these leaked pictures (which come from previously reliable @evleaks), looks a bit more solid with cleaner lines and an understated design. Well, if a gigantic slate of a phone can be consider understated. Note the lack of a home button. Look at how it compares with the old Galaxy line:

These leaked pictures don’t automatically mean that the Galaxy S IV will look like this (it could just be a placeholder image for all we know) but it seems kind of, sort of in line with previously rumoured images. At this point, the only thing we know for sure is that the Galaxy S IV will take on some sort of a rectangular shape. However, if this image does end up showing what the Galaxy S IV will look like, what do you guys think?
The leaked images of the GSIV also show that it’ll come in 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB versions with 2GB of RAM. If this image is correct, the GSIV will also have a 13 megapixel camera and run Android 4.2. Of course, this is all an unsubstantiated rumour. To find out everything we know about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S IV, head over to our rumour roundup. [@evleaks via Engadget]

Is This the Samsung Galaxy S IV Mini?
Here Are the Samsung Galaxy S IV's Guts

It looks like a mini TV.
What is with Samsung’s preoccupation with size?
Overcompensating.
To be honest I was hoping for something more succinct than that, but okay.
Sure because Samsung has problem with the size of it’s penis.
I would argue the only company preoccupied with size is Apple, and them trying not to release differently sized iPhones/iPads unless the competition shows there is a massive market for it. Also, Samsung make a far greater size range of devices than most companies I think, hell look at how many Galaxy Tabs and phones there are! I wouldn’t say Samsung are obsessed with size, but they are obsessed with variety!
The S3 is already quite large, a lot larger than the iPhone 5 and yet they insist on amping up the display. There will be a point where will have to let out our pockets before we can fit the ‘best phone eva’ into our measly little pockets. Or get clothes with larger pocket depths. I saw a guy with the galaxy note in his hand on the tube and he was struggling to hold onto it to put it into his pocket.
That’s just two of their phone rang – their best selling ones (doesn’t that tell you something?) They make slightly smaller, smaller and much smaller ones if you have tiny doll hands. My Note 2 fits in my pockets nicely, thanks! I dropped my 3.5″-screened San Francisco putting it into my pocket more than once, so size there is not an issue. I’d prefer choice, and the buying public like the large screens. Choice is better.
*range, not rang!
You rang?
They will get so large you can wear then in both front chest pockets to act like kevlar.
That’s what a pair of Galaxy Note 8s are for! See, Samsung have got you (literally) covered!
Poor guy ! He still bought one though so your silly judgement about how he held the device didn’t really make him buy an iPhone, did it ? Big phones are selling really well, that is why there are so many of them, the market dictates what is sold based on demand what is your point ?
Funny, I don’t remember any of my comments being biased to Apple or it’s iPhone series. I was making a comment on the size of SAMSUNG’S phone display series only. Did I say that I had suggested to the bloke I saw to get an iPhone because the Note 2 was impractical? Um, no. I was commenting on the size of the Galaxy Note 2 rather than anything else.
Did I mention iPhones in any way other than commenting on the smaller screen size compared to the S3? Um, again no.
I was merely stating how the S3 size is sufficient and any bigger doesn’t need to be in their mind-frame when they have larger models available like the Galaxy Note models, which if you look carefully bare remarkable and almost identical resemblance to this new S4 model.
It’s okay, he has to be protective and automatically assume you’re an iSheep because people apparently can’t enjoy tech from more than one company or be unbiased.
Or is this what the S4 will look like?
Or, will it look more… phonish?

The name of your url gives it away haha
Yeah, too busy to even troll properly
I still clicked the link since I really wanted to see a butterfly eating rainbow pooping ninja unicorn. If it was a shortened link I would have ignored it.
That looks sucky.
It wont be that big. Compared to the s3 behind it that screen works out at 5.7 inches. Most rumours say the s4 will have a 5 inch screen.
I’m calling fake on these images. Samsung wouldn’t use the Android logo as part of their branding. Furthermore it’s far too wide, and the aspect ratio is ugly as shit.
I hope you’re right, it’s hideous.
The S4 is going to have a home button. It was the argument for the S3 that they didn’t want to confuse the Galaxy S owners :/
Its like Apple products they won’t lose the home button anytime soon.
Fairly sure it’s just a placeholder.
like…….EVERY OTHER PHONE AT THE MOMENT?
…probably.
Yup.
Hope they price it right, Nexus style.
No need to hope. They won’t.
Didn’t someone do a render of what the new iphone might look like and it looked exactly like this?
Very boring and lacking in imagination – if genuine. Suggest people get to see an HTC One. There are mockup versions in the UK high street phone shops, and the thing is lovely both to look at and hold. Imagine the real thing will be even better. I think Samsung should begin to offer some industrial design innovation in their phones as they have done with their compact and mirrorless cameras.
Wow, the camera has autofocus! Phew… for a second there I was worried the S4 would have a huge manual focusing wheel on it.
That phone bears too close a resemblance to a Huawei handset. In fact, it looks like a scaled-down Ascend Mate.
So yeah, placeholder.
Yeah I noticed that as well.
It’s a pretty sad PS fail really, needs more bezel at the bottom and Samsung already said it would still feature a home button.
It looks just like an LG
One of the worst renderings I’ve ever seen. the main pic doesn’t have any line correct on the left hand side.
Looking forward to some more realistic fakes/rumours
I think it looks a little like a samsung note first gen
