Apple's release of iOS 6.1.3 might have killed the Evasi0n jailbreak, but at least we thought it would bring an end to the lockscreen bypass issues. Unfortunately, no. Apple still has a glaring hole in its iPhone security, and this one, dare I say it, seems even easier. Not good.
The video above shows the hack in action, but basically it's a case of using the iPhone's Voice Control (not Siri) on the lockscreen while ejecting the SIM. It seems you can only get to your photos and contacts, but any access is bad enough.
Thankfully, you can secure the thing yourself by turning off voice dialling when you've got a lockscreen going. But it just goes to show that Apple's got more holes in its code than Swiss cheese. So, my previous view is right: If someone's got their hands on your phone, they can probably bypass the lockscreen and steal your data -- don't let that sucker out of your sight.
