Samsung's UK people have been in touch to clarify exactly what's going on with that judge working to defend it in its latest patent case, claiming that Sir Robin Jacob, of Apple apology shame, isn't a direct employee after all.
The exact quote is as follows:
"Sir Robin Jacob is not a legal representative of Samsung Electronics. A highly reputed intellectual property expert and academic, Sir Robin has been contracted as an expert by a law firm that represents Samsung Electronics in its case against Ericsson".
So he's working for people working for Samsung, not working for Samsung. A little bit different, but there's still only one place his pay's going to be coming from at the end of the day.
