Dyson makes some of the prettiest vacuums, hand-driers, and air blower/suckers out there, so it should come as no surprise that the factory where they are born is as mesmerising as its products.
A new video from the Dyson team gives a little glimpse into the calculated insanity of swirling arms that puts Dysons together. This congregation of shiny, humming machines lives in Dyson’s new, £180 million Singapore facility that will help Dyson produce nearly six million motors a year. It’s also a marvel in its own right. What I’ve learnt by actually working in these places is these camera crews pick the best angles, they edit the video, add effects and the company cleans everything up just before the crew gets there. Also though whenever we had potential customers come to view, it was like everyone get the wrist bands on and act like pros lol. As soon as they leave it’s like the blitz.
That’s quite new. They only started doing that after the promotional video of the filthy factory with Dave’s copy of the Sun and Gregg’s sausage roll wrapper sitting on the desk, single continuous shot and accidental footage of walls and floors and the backs of machines didn’t actually do that well.
In other news, I sometimes tidy my flat before my parents come to visit.
News just in, camera operators, editors and people in advertising departments are paid to make the things they film look good.
Dyson: They sure do suck
