Langley's No. 8 "Undeniably Masculine" Gin for the "Sophisticated Gentleman"

By Gary Cutlack on at

After deciding that traditional gin isn't manly enough thanks to a historical association with flowery cocktails for ladies, booze distiller Langley's created its No. 8 blend. A drink supposedly the result of exhaustive testing and experiments to create the manliest tasting gin there's ever been.

Costing £30 for one of its chunky bottles, the maker says it has been "developed to appeal to men who appreciate the finer things in life" and who want to add a touch of mystique to the process of getting very drunk at home. The No. 8 name comes from this being the eighth blend on the shortlist of 12 mixtures developed to hit the manly-tasting sweetspot. [Langley's via Mr Hyde]
