Samsung Planning XXXL-Proportioned 5.8" Galaxy Mega?

By Gary Cutlack on at

Samsung's continuing to escalate the screen sizes of the mobile world, with new leaked specs claiming it's planning a mid-range 5.8" model that outdoes even the 5.5" madness of the Galaxy Note II.

The device, which SamMobile claims is currently known as the Galaxy Note Mega, comes with a less-than-HD screen display resolution of 960 x 540, so is likely to be quite a bit cheaper that previous Galaxy Note models. Inside the enormous chassis sits dual cameras (8MP and 2MP), with a 1.4GHz dual-core processor backed by 1.5GB of RAM.

Which sounds a bit like Samsung is releasing a cheaper clone of its own models. [SamMobile via BGR]
