We've seen previously -- through some preliminary benchmarks -- that the quad-core LTE variant of the Samsung Galaxy S4 that's UK-bound is damn quick, but even that is blown away by the octa-core beast that Samung's pumping out for elsewhere.
Benchmarked using Antutu, the octa-core phone blasted through to a score of 28,018, which absolutely obliterates the Snapdragon 600-touting quad-core variant clocked at 23,607. Not only that, but it's also a fair jump over the rest of the competition, including the HTC One.
Needless to say the Samsung Galaxy S4 is going to be seriously fast, whichever version you get your hands on, and there's even suggestions that ARM's new core tech, dubbed big.LITTLE, will make the octa-core beast more battery efficient. I don't know about you, but I'd dump LTE for 8-whole-cores any day right now in the UK. [SamMobile, GSM Arena via TechRadar]
