Bloat-Free "Google Edition" Samsung Galaxy S4 Planned for Google I/O?

By Gary Cutlack on at

Samsung might be about to make its Galaxy S4 even more appealing to the Android hardcore, with a rumour suggesting a version of the phone running unskinned Android may be one of the announcements to come out of today's Google I/O developer event.

The news, which comes from tech site Geek, claims Google and Samsung will demonstrate the phone during a segment of its Android pitch tonight, ahead of a general launch, in the US at least, this June. If true, it should make a little bit more of the phone's internal memory available to users, plus those boycotting it due to Samsung's overbearing suite of TouchWiz modifications might be tempted.

And it'll keep Anne Robinson happy. [Geek]
