Looks like backwards compatibility is toast for the incoming generation of consoles. Microsoft's confirmed that the Xbox One won't be able to play either Xbox 360 games or any games you've bought on XBLA, which is a bit crap, honestly.
Fair enough, don't support emulation of the PowerPC architecture of the Xbox 360 for full-blooded games, but not supporting the digitally distributed Xbox Live Arcade games is a bit poor on Microsoft's front in my opinion.
Anyway, that's the way it is, like it or loathe it, and I guess you can just keep your 360 and pipe it through the One with everything else like a dumb TV feed. The question is, does lack of backwards compatibility really make any difference to you these days? [CVG]
