A bizarre new Kinect hack lets users control a mouse by head movement, with Microsoft's camera sensor using winks to click, frowns to scroll down pages and a surprised raise of the eyebrows to head to the top of the page. It's a fully working mouse if you don't mind it being painfully slow.
The laughable FaceMouse demo video above shows a man suffering for his art, winking and scrunching his face through a simple web page, before we get to the grand climax of the clip; opening his mouth to highlight a chunk of text. It's quite stupid, but a little bit clever in some ways.
And if you're used to staring expressionlessly at a computer for 16 hours a day, it will at least let you exercise your facial muscles a bit. [TNW]
