Amazon's AutoRip service is now live here, with the retail monster automatically giving buyers digital copies of any physical music they buy -- and backdating it to 1999. If nothing else, it's a good way to see what old CDs you bought 14 years ago.
Setting it up's dead easy. Signing into your Amazon account and heading off to the Amazon Cloud Player browser music thingy will prompt the service to analyse your buying history and import MP3 copies of any physical CDs, records or cassette tapes you may have entirely legally purchased through the site since 1999.
They're then yours to infinitely stream within Amazon's own cloud services. What horrors lurk in your back catalogue? [Amazon Autorip]
