Samsung Bankrolling Jay Z With One Million Free Albums for Galaxy Users

By Gary Cutlack on at

Samsung and rapper Jay Z have struck one of the least likely marketing synergies we've seen of late, with the tech giant announcing a deal to give away one million copies of his upcoming album Magna Carta Holy Grail to owners of the Galaxy S4, Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note II. The album's set to launch on July 4th, but Galaxy can users get it via an exclusive app on June 24th. Samsung allegedly paid $5 a piece for the copies. [YouTube via WSJ]
