After the disastrous reception given to the HTC First and the decision to abandon plans for a UK launch, Facebook's down-dressed ruffian boss Mark Zuckerberg is reported to have been tapping-up Samsung to be the next "Facebook phone" maker. But Samsung's not that keen.
According to a report in the Korea Herald, Zuckerberg put on his smartest hooded sweatshirt for a meeting with Samsung bosses in Korea yesterday, with the idea he might convince Samsung to build the next Facebook-orientated handset. After all, if there's one thing Samsung likes doing it's releasing new types of mobile phone.
However, industry sources quoted by the Korea Herald say it's not likely to happen, as Samsung would rather not help build a rival ecosystem that could end up beating its cosy cuddle arrangement with Google and its Android OS. [Korea Herald via Pocket-Lint]
