How to Be a Hacker (Ethical or Otherwise)

By Sam Gibbs on at

So, you've admired the hacking gods from afar for far too long now. It's time to take the big step, realise your long-held cyber-shadow dreams, and join an elite group of hackers. But how do you actually go about doing that? Why like this, of course.

The funny thing is, this infographic is no joke. It's genuinely a decent career path these days. Apparently you can make good money hacking, and I don't mean from stealing people's credit card details or logins. "Penetration testers", apart from their dodgy name, get paid oodles to basically probe people's networks, ethically hacking their way into corporations. Sounds like fun.

Anyone fancy being the next leader of Anonymous, then? Oh, wait. Anonymous doesn't actually have leaders, right? Maybe you can take up Sabu's reigns then. [Schools via PC Mag]
