More leaks from HTC's supposedly "mini" HTC One, which is barely any smaller with a rumoured 4.3-inch screen (compared to 4.7"). Apparently that equates to the device being 1cm shorter in total length than its bigger brother, but why that means it has to have a cheaper, less whizz-bang dual-core 1.4GHz Snapdragon 400, I don't know.
The rumoured spec list includes the aforementioned 1.4GHz dual-core CPU backed by just 1GB of RAM, and a 720p screen. The camera on the back will supposedly be just 4MP too, with a 1.6MP chatcam up front.
Now, take these specs and snaps with a pinch of salt, but they look real enough. How you'd tell the difference between this and the full-blooded One, apart from sizing them up against each other, I don't know.
I just hope that the specs we're hearing are way off the mark, because it's about time the iPhone wasn't the only decent small phone. Why can't the HTC One Mini come packing everything the HTC One does, just in a smaller screen size? Anyway, that's an argument for another time. For now, it looks like this is what HTC's got up its sleeve, and my question is, would anyone buy it? [Android Next via T3]
