The leaks regarding Sony's forthcoming smartphone have reached new highs today, with Sony joining the fun and deciding to show a close-up shot of the phone's button. So it'll have a button. A very nice button. Sadly for Sony, stacks more unofficial news and press photos have also leaked regarding its next mobile.
Tech site ePrice has the latest in the long, long, long line of Sony Xperia Z1 leaks, today bringing us what appears to be an official press image of the phone itself. It's rather tough for hardware makers to make their photographs look interesting, what with today's phones being little more than black rectangles when viewed front-on, so it's not exactly thrilling to look at in this low-res, branded image. But there you are. That might be it.
ePrice also underlines the tech specs of the phone once again, suggesting it'll arrive running Qualcomm's leading Snapdragon 800 chipset clocked at a ludicrous 2.2GHz, backed by the high-end phone standard 2GB of RAM. And that camera's still supposed to be a bonkers 20.7-Megapixel unit.
Sony's teasing all of this ahead of its September 4th press event at the IFA tech show, so all should finally, finally be revealed then. We're excited about not having to write about leaks any more. [ePrice]
Update: Sony's spat out another teaser, this one with a bit more, well, phone. Surprise! It'll be waterproof:
