Do You Long For a Return to the Mobile Flipper Days?

By Gary Cutlack on at

Samsung's rumoured to be planning a new Android-powered flip phone, pairing a couple of displays with the classic early-2000s flipper hardware form. Do you wish your display was once again safely hidden inside a case, free from scratches and miscellaneous grime?

The phone, which is currently known as the Samsung Galaxy Folder, is a modern take on the old flipper, offering one internal screen and a second one on the outside, so you'll have a choice of two displays to stare at. You could stare at one, then stare at the other, to look twice as busy in public places.

Tech wise, the mooted Galaxy Folder features that pair of 3.7-inch 800 x 480 resolution displays, powered by a dual-core Snapdragon 400 clocked at 1.7GHz, with 2GB of RAM and Android 4.2.2 as its OS. It's a modern powerhouse inside the sort of case your dad still uses. [Clien.net via Techradar]
