While trolling is only something of a hobby for us here in the Western world, people in North Korea are able to make a career out of it, thanks to the communist government hiring people specifically to attack its South Korean neighbours online.
According to a report in the Chosun Ilbo, around 200 North Koreans are employed solely to "undermine South Korean morale," which they do so by posting online comments under the guise of identities stolen from South Korean citizens. Presumably they're currently posting about how the Samsung Galaxy S4 is rubbish when compared to the amazing new North Korean smartphone.
In total, the South Korean Police Policy Institute reckons around 3,000 people are permanently employed in South Korea's online wars, with the remainder concentrating on your more traditional aggressive cyber attacks designed to break stuff. [Chosun Ilbo via The Register]
