Time to engage the salt catapult again. According to a report from Macotakara, which successfully predicted the name of the iPad Mini, Apple's next iPhones will be called "iPhone 5S" (not a stretch there) and the "iPhone 5C", as we'd heard before. Oh, and the home button's becoming a fingerprint scanner too, apparently.
Given Apple ditched numbers from the third and forth-generation iPad, I wouldn't totally bet against the next iPhone flagship just being called "iPhone", but where that leaves the iPhone 5C I'm not sure. I'm also not sure whether the "C" stands for cheaper (unlikely) or colour. Apple has a history of "colour" products, what with the iPod colour and all.
Another rumour also states that the classic rounded-square on the homebutton is gone, replaced with a sapphire-topped fingerprint scanner. I'd say that one's a little bit more farfetched than a cheaper iPhone, but Apple did buy AuthenTec last year. Take all of this with a mountain of salt, but September 10th could be a busy one.
