Apple Shops Told to Expect *Two* Separate Deliveries of Exciting New Hardware Things

There might be a gap between the launch of the iPhone 5S and 5C later this month, with Apple retailers allegedly being told to prepare for two separate deliveries of new hardware.

This comes from vague "sources" quoted by the Telegraph, who also claim that Apple shops are being told to get ready to advertise three separate mobile devices from now on instead of the usual two. This could well mean we'll see iPhone 5S pitched as the new high-end model, the iPhone 5 made a little cheaper to sit in the middle, plus the more affordable iPhone 5C marketed as the one for the poor, the children, and people with metal allergies.

Which sort of suggests the 5C will be rather cheap indeed, if it's to sit two rungs below the new 5S in Apple's pricing pyramid. [Telegraph]
