Crowd-Funded Cat Cafe Moving into London's Shoreditch Hipster Zone

The bizarre world of the cat cafe, in which cat-less spinsters get to go and grope someone else's cat while hoping it does something funny that can be captured and turned into an animated GIF with the potential to go viral, is coming to London. It now has a license and a venue.

The crowd-funded Cat Emporium will open for business at 152-154 Bethnal Green Road, a not-particularly-glam part of East London currently home to kebab shops and mini cab firms. At least you'll be able to get home easily once you and your cackling mates have you've had your fill of waving some string at a stupid animal. [Time Out]
