It's hit the major cities, and now EE's superfast 4G network roll-out continues its march into the UK's smaller towns and regions. 12 more UK locations have been added to the service today, including Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Beaconsfield, Blackburn, Burton upon Trent, Coalville, Chester-le-Street, Fleet, Gerrards Cross, Halifax, Hinckley, Houghton-le-Spring and Reigate.
With 60 per cent of the UK population now covered by EE 4G, that puts the network well on track to hitting its coverage target of 98 per cent of the UK by the end of 2014. How many 4G fanatics would have been tempted away by O2 and Vodafone's recently-launched superfast networks by that point remains to be seen. [EE]
