It's not the easiest time to be a consumer on the hunt for a wireless Bluetooth speaker. New models are flooding the market on a daily basis, and wading through the hundreds of choices can be mind-numbing. So here's a quick cheat sheet for you: If you want something small, consider Jawbone's new Mini Jambox, but if design and style are at the top of your feature list, you can't go wrong with Marshall's gorgeous new Stanmore.
The speaker's design pays homage to the classic days of rock and roll that helped make Marshall a household name among musicians. Instead of soft vinyl buttons or a touchscreen interface, the volume and other settings are controlled by a set of traditional analogue dials. And in addition to a wireless Bluetooth connection, users can connect their devices with an included coiled 3.5-inch headphone cable, RCA cables, and even the speaker's optical input.
The Stanmore is available in cream or black right now for £400 (which, given its US price is $400, dampens our smile somewhat), but if you can get over that pricetag, we suggest the latter colour option because the lighter cream finish is bound to show your friend's drool stains. [Marshall]
