Dyson's not been shy in the past when it comes to moaning about the patent system and making claims about industrial shadiness, now it's taking things to the next level by announcing plans to sue Samsung in the High Court for stealing its vacuum cleaner technology.
The actual Mr Dyson claims the Samsung Motion Sync vacuum cleaner it demonstrated at IFA last week illegally clones a cylinder cleaner steering mechanism previously patented by Dyson, with company founder Sir James saying: "This looks like a cynical rip-off. Samsung has many patent lawyers so I find it hard not to believe that this is a deliberate or utterly reckless infringement of our patent."
Dyson added: "We have been forced to issue proceedings in the English High Court, but I would much rather invest in research to develop new technology than have to sue."
Samsung, meanwhile, claims Dyson's claims are "groundless." [BBC]
