20 Million People are Regular Tablet Users in the UK

Staggering stats on the growth of tablet use suggest that one-third of the entire UK population regularly uses some kind of tablet device, and the insane trend of the tablet shows no sign of slowing.

Data harvested by eMarketer suggests that around 20 million people in the UK have used a tablet in the last month, although its figures include families all arguing over and prodding at the same device, so it may not necessarily mean that quite such a high percentage of the population is tabbing away every single day.

Still, it's a lot of people, and eMarketer believes that by 2017 a tablet will be used by over half of the UK population on a regular basis, as prices come down and laptops expire and are replaced by the simpler, cheaper tablet option. [Telegraph]
