BT Does Deal to Bring Sky Movies to its Various Boxes

By Gary Cutlack on at

BT has convinced deadly media rival Sky to bring its film channels to its set-top boxes and online channels, with the Sky Movies bundles coming to BT's streaming and on-demand TV services later this month.

Those with a BT fibre connection will be able to watch live streams of Sky's film channels, while those with normal old broadband will be able to access the on-demand stuff only. Customers with YouView and the latest Vision+ boxes will be able to access the full range of on-demand options too, from October 26th.

And obviously you'll have to pay for it, as neither BT or Sky are doing this to make your life better. An as-yet unannounced monthly subscription fee will be required for access to all 11 Sky Movies channels. [BT]
