Google, Intel, LG and Samsung Considering Rival BlackBerry Bids

By Gary Cutlack on at

BlackBerry has already agreed to being bought and turned into a private company by a private equity firm, but is said to be talking to several other tech giants about selling all or part of the once great phone maker for a better price.

Reports suggest that smartphone kings Samsung, LG and Google have been approached by BlackBerry to see if they're interested in buying chunks of BlackBerry's business (most likely the patent portfolio), while Intel, SAP and Cisco from the enterprise worlds are also said to be considering bids. Thanks to its gradual death, BlackBerry might be about to become popular. [Telegraph]
