If you haven't already given up on the prospect of BBM for your iPhone or Android device, BlackBerry is today once again pushing their now-cross-platform messaging app to the respective Apple and Google stores.
After a botched launch in September, BlackBerry is taking a more cautious approach to the roll out of their still-loved chat app this second time around. Rather than opening the floodgates to all comers, only those who signed up for email notifications about BBM back in September will initially be able to use the service. While that still amounts to a significant six million potential users, anyone else curious about the dying brand's dilution of their one significant consumer-facing app will have to get in line in an activation queue.
