Rumours from the Chinese manufacturer scene suggest we're about to see a new large-sized Sony mobile appear at some point in the near future, with a low-ish spec model known as the Xperia Tianchi appearing on the tech news scene.
The Tianchi is less hardcore in tech terms than the likes of the Xperia Z Ultra, supposedly offering a MediaTek chipset that we've seen used before in certain Sony budget models, although it's suggested the MediaTek processor will be an eight-core model. So it ought to work well and help deliver a 6-inch phone for a cheaper price. If the rumours are true. And when it comes to Sony's leaky ship, they usually are. [Unwired View via MyDrivers]
