Kazam, the UK-based smartphone manufacturer headed up by two former HTC executives, has today revealed its first two ranges of Android phones for the UK. While the specs don't have the shazam that the Kazam name suggests, those after a dual-SIM mid-ranger may want to have a look.
Launching six devices in total under the "premium" Thunder name and low-spec'd Trooper line, the most (comparatively) impressive is the Kazam Thunder Q4.5. A 4.5-inch, 854 x 480 device running off a 1.3GHz quad-core Mali 400MP2 processor and backed by 1GB of RAM. Stock Android Jelly Bean 4.2 is the OS in use, with 4GB of storage space built in that can be expanded by a further 32GB with microSD cards. It's also sporting an 8MP camera on the rear. A 5-inch version is set to follow shortly.
At the other end of the spectrum is the Kazam Trooper X3.5, with a 3.5-inch screen at a 480 x 320 resolution, powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor and offering a 5MP camera on the rear.
All handsets are 3G-only, and all offer dual-SIM functionality, with pricing and international availability to follow shortly. [Kazam]
