New research into the state of the smartphone market paints Samsung in an even more favourable light, suggesting the Korean giant ships more phones around the world than all of its major competitors combined.
The stats, from ABI Research, appear even more favourable when comparing Android to the rest of the smartphone universe, with hardware running Google's OS accounting for a staggering 81 per cent of all smart device shipments during Q3 of 2013.
There's one small winner in the pie chart of shame, though. Look at Microsoft there, managing to ship twice the number of smartphones as BlackBerry last quarter, and recording a 165% year-on-year increase. All thanks to Nokia, which accounted for 95 per cent of WP unit shipments. [ABI via Android Central]
