PSN users are being made to change their passwords mandatorily —which is, according to Sony, a "purely a precautionary measure" for "routine protection." Something you're not telling us, Sony?
Predominantly affecting US users at the moment, just last week Sony pushed out a similar mandatory password reset for European users. The company has been badly burned by hackers before, with members of the Anonymous collective taking the PSN offline for 24 days in the spring of 2011. [Twitter]
