The bonkers YotaPhone, which has a standard mobile LCD display on one side and an e-ink screen on the other, should launch before the end of the year in some markets. If you want a mad, attention-grabbing phone/ereader hybrid, it could be yours.
The YotaPhone runs on a dual-core 1.7GHz processor backed by 2GB of RAM. The 4.3-inch display outputs at 720p resolution, so it ought to be a decent mid-range performer. Plus there's that e-ink display around the back for reading things and receiving low-power notifications without hammering the battery. It's an interesting idea all right, with a 13-Megapixel camera onboard to help it compete with the higher-end of traditional smartphones.
