That boring square thing up there is your gateway to enhanced mobile phone fun, in the form of Samsung's new 8Gb LPDDR4 RAM chip. It's a one gigabit memory chip, but designed to be whacked into phones and tablets in groups of four. Hence a Galaxy S5 or similar with 4GB of RAM might be your next fantasy hardware buy.
As Samsung has shown us in the past, it has a habit of foreshadowing tech specs we'll see in its Galaxy S flagship models around this time of year, so we could well see a model with 4GB of RAM in it some time during 2014. Couple this with the new ISOCELL camera sensor it's also teased and the alleged 64-bit Exynos processor range, and it looks like we already have a good idea of what's likely to be inside at last one of Samsung's next high-end models.
