Here's a Sneak Peek at The Simpsons LEGO set -- Updated

By Gerald Lynch on at

We want LEGO everything these days, from Star Wars to Minecraft, Superman to the Taj Mahal. With the user-generated Cuusoo community proving to license holders that there's an audience for any old franchise in LEGO form, it's actually surprising that there hasn't been a LEGO The Simpsons set already. Until now that is.

Rumours of a LEGO The Simpsons set have been circulating for some time now, and seem to be confirmed by this boxshot, posted by EuroBricks forum user Carlos S.

Seemingly the real deal (though there's yet to be any official response from LEGO or 20th Century Fox), the box apparently contains a whopping 2523-piece set, with which you can make the SImpsons family's Springfield home. Homer, Bart, Lisa, Marge, and Maggie figurines (with custom moulded heads) all feature, as well as a barbeque-tending Ned Flanders, the family's pink car and even a skate ramp.

No pricing or availability yet, but if the boxshot is a real one, expect the release to follow shortly. [EuroBricks via Cnet]

Update -- And here's what the house looks like on the inside. The whole thing opens up!
