A quaint little British tornado landed in the town of Chobham on Saturday night, terrorising the local cats, damaging property and knocking out power in parts of Kent, Sussex and Surrey as it blew across the home counties.
Eyewitness Shirley Blay told the BBC: "We've got four feral cats in the yard and they were being lifted off the ground -- about 6ft off the ground -- they just went round like a big paper bag."
Sadly Shirley does not appear to have filmed the five-minute localised cat-lifting weather event, which other onlookers described as being like something out of a Hollywood special effects blockbuster. [BBC]
