Chromecast UK Launch Given Shot in the Arm by Job Listing

By Gerald Lynch on at

Expanded app support isn't the only bit of Chromecast news coming out of Google HQ. It seems the company is finally gearing up for an international launch, with Google on the hunt for an international product manager.

Posted to LinkedIn, Google's job listing is searching for a:

Product Manager who is passionate about launching consumer products in international markets. This individual will be responsible for defining and driving the end-to-end Chromecast product experience for countries around the globe. [The person] will be working closely with the Chromecast hardware, software, content, and operations teams to define international product requirements and successfully managing the launches.

Based at the company's Mountain View base in California, the listing also states the successful applicant should be prepared for "significant travel".

Think you've got what it takes? Google's minimum qualification requirements are a BA/BS in computer science (an MS or PhD is preferred) as well as four years of consumer electronics experience. Time to dust off that CV. [LinkedIn]

Thanks for the tip, Chris!
