Today is the day that a potentially disruptive online discounter launches in the UK, with poundshop.com set to go live at 2.00pm. Problem is, rumours suggest there's likely to be a £10 minimum order and a £3.65 delivery fee on top. So wouldn't we be better off taking a granny trolley to the high street instead of buying from this new £13.65 shop?
The rumoured pricing comes via Twitter, where Telegraph reporter Harry Wallop claims to have the pre-launch money matters. Given that we'd previously heard reports of a £23 minimum spend, the £10 limit isn't that much of a disaster -- but is it still too much of a premium to pay for your usual pound shop merchandise?
